On Monday, the Tribune broke the news of Dave Baldwin leaving his offensive coordinator post at Utah State for the same job at Colorado State, and the subsequent hiring of Matt Wells to succeed Baldwin.

A new defensive coordinator may be on the horizon as well.

Head coach Gary Andersen, who handled those duties this past season, is likely to hire a new one, barring a change of heart. He handed more and more of the defensive coordinator duties off to Billy Busch as this season wore on, and is pretty much ready to hand it off fulltime, as he wants to focus more on his duties as a head coach.

Andersen still wants say in how the defense is constructed. But the day-to-day responsibilities as the DC is something that he likely doesn't want to do.
