Real Salt Lake will play in the second annual FC Tucson Desert Diamond Cup tournament in Arizona to wrap up its preseason training before the 2012 Major League Soccer season.

The team announced Thursday that it's one of four MLS teams that will participate, along with the Los Angeles Galaxy, New England Revolution and New York Red Bulls.

Each team will play four games from Feb. 22 to March 3 — one on each Wednesday and Saturday in that span — with a champion crowned on the final night at the Kino Sports Complex in Tucson. RSL will play New York on Feb. 22, the Galaxy on Feb. 25, and New England on Feb. 29 before the pairings are made for the final game based on points earned through the first three.

RSL is still working on its plans for the early part of the preseason, and said it expects to announce its full itinerary in the coming weeks.

The MLS regular season begins March 10, with RSL opening its season March 17 at Rio Tinto Stadium against an opponent yet to be announced.
