Las Vegas • Payson bareback rider Kaycee Feild made it two straight Friday night at the $6 million Wrangler National Finals Rodeo.

Feild, who won the opening round on Thursday, came back to capture Round 2 with a score of 87.5 at the Thomas & Mack Center.

The victory was worth another $17,884, meaning Feild has earned $35,768 during a pair of eight-second rides in the opening two rounds of the NFR.

Feild has bumped his season earnings to $176,428, which puts him nearly $39,000 ahead of Will Lowe of Canyon, Texas, in the race for the world championship.

In other events:

• Jesse Wright of Milford finished second in saddle bronc with a score of 86. He earned $14,135. Wright's older brother, two-time world champion Cody Wright, did not score.

• Jody Sheffield of Ogden, who is appearing in her first NFR, placed third in barrel racing with a time of 14.02 seconds. She earned $10,673 after failing to place in the first round.

• Former world champion Wesley Silcox of Santaquin finished second in the bull riding. His score of 89.5 was worth $14,135. Payson's Steve Woolsey, who placed third in Round 1, did not score.
