Cedar City • Two Dixie High school golfers have signed national letters of intent to compete for Southern Utah University.
Van Gilder, currently on an LDS church mission, helped lead Dixie to four consecutive league and state 4A championships. He was a two-time all-region and all-state selections. He is scheduled to begin playing for SUU in 2012.
Nicole Thomas, who was the 4A individual champion as a sophomore and has claimed the last two Region 9 individual championships, will also compete for the Thunderbirds, according to SUU head golf coach Richard Church.
