1. Stanford (9-0, 7-0)

The powerful Cardinal have survived some key injuries to build their winning streak to 17 games and put themselves in position to make it to the BCS national championship game.

2. Oregon (8-1, 6-0)

The Ducks have won eight straight now, and will get a chance to avenge their season-opening loss to LSU and prove their speed can beat power when they play at Stanford.

3. USC (7-2, 4-2)

Quarterback Matt Barkley is having a sensational season, throwing for 2,608 yards with 28 touchdowns and only six picks. If only the Trojans had something to play for, except fun.

4. UCLA (5-4, 4-2)

It seems unlikely, but if the Bruins win out against Utah, Colorado and rival USC, they will win the South Division and play in the inaugural league title game. Never saw that coming.

5. Arizona State (6-3, 4-2)

So this is what all those ASU fans meant. In bumbling fashion, the Sun Devils managed to blow a lead at UCLA and fumble away their inside track to the South Division title.

6. Washington (6-3, 4-2)

Quarterback Keith Price says he'll bounce back, which could be key if the Trojans are lathered up by defensive coordinator Nick Holt's comment that he'd rather play USC than Oregon.

7. Utah (5-4, 2-4)

Another stifling defense, a good running back. Talented receivers and a coach who gets the best out of his players? Imagine how good the Utes could be if they just had a quarterback.

8. Cal (5-4, 2-4)

The Golden Bears are running more to take pressure off inconsistent quarterback Zach Maynard. But they're bad on the road, and travel to Stanford and Arizona State in the last two weeks.

9. Arizona (2-6, 1-5)

The Wildcats are promising to stick together, and still have a few things to look forward to: a winnable game at Colorado this week and the rivalry game against Arizona State.

10. Washington State (3-6, 1-5)

The Cougars have lost five in a row after a promising (albeit brief) start, putting coach Paul Wulff back on the hot seat with the need to win out in order to reach a bowl game.

11. Oregon State (2-7, 2-4)

The Beavers already have turned their attention to developing younger players, since they have been eliminated from the bowl race with games remaining for the first time since 1998.

12. Colorado (1-9, 0-6)

What else can you say? The Buffs are a wreck. And even with some talented playmakers back from injury and an easier schedule upcoming, they don't have the personnel to do much about it.
