Welcome to our weekly predictions for the Pac-12 Conference — where we swear the car was insured.

Washington State at No. 7 Oregon (-36 1/2), 1 p.m. — Injured running back LaMichael James says he will play for the Ducks "if the team needs me." So evidently, he's sitting out again. Oregon 55, Washington State 20.

Colorado at No. 23 Arizona State (-30 1/2), 4:30 p.m. — The Buffs have one of the nation's worst defenses, and an offense that can't score even with a healthy quarterback. Oh, and a 22-game road losing streak. Arizona State 45, Colorado 13.

Cal at UCLA (+5), 5 p.m. — Coach Rick Neuheisel says he's going to fight to keep his job, but the guys who will make a difference for the Bruins looked utterly disinterested in helping, their last time out. Cal 34, UCLA 20.

Oregon State at Utah (-5), 5 p.m. — Their start was brutal, but the Beavers seem to be moving in the right direction finally, with a promising quarterback. The Utes only wish they could say the same. Oregon State 27, Utah 17.

No. 4 Stanford at No. 20 USC (+7 1/2), 6 p.m. — Man, the Trojans would love to get some payback on the Cardinal for their last two visits to the Coliseum. Only trouble? "Andrew" and "Luck." Stanford 41, USC 27.

Arizona at Washington (-6), 8:30 p.m. — Remember that Husky defense that can't stop anybody? It wasn't exactly thrilled to see the Wildcats finally get loose last week, now that coach Mike Stoops is gone. Washington 42, Arizona 38.

Last Week: 4-2. Overall: 29-8
