Welcome to our weekly predictions for the Pac-12 Conference — where you won't have Mike Stoops to kick around any more.

USC at Cal (+3), Thursday, 7 p.m. — The Golden Bears have averaged only 10 points while losing seven straight in the series, and the Trojans are coming off a bye with receiver Robert Woods facing a freshman cornerback. Book it. USC 30, Cal 21.

Utah at Pittsburgh (-6 1/2), 10 a.m. — It's almost like penance, the Utes traveling nearly 2,000 miles for an early kickoff after committing 10 turnovers in two games. However inconsistent the Panthers, that's tough. Pittsburgh 24, Utah 20.

Colorado at Washington (-14), 1:30 p.m. — The slumping Buffs and their beleaguered secondary take their 21-game road losing streak to meet slingin' quarterback Keith Price and the resurgent Huskies, fresh off a bye? This will not end well. Washington 37, Colorado 17.

BYU at Oregon State (-1 1/2), 2 p.m. — Hey, look! The Beavers might be as bad as they were when BYU's Bronco Mendenhall coached there. One victory against a team that just fired its coach doesn't change that. BYU 24, Oregon State 16.

No. 7 Stanford at Washington State (+20 1/2), 5:30 p.m. — It's been fun, hasn't it, Pullman? Nice start, the Cougs clearly making progress. But quarterback Andrew Luck is about to rain some reality down on Martin Stadium. Stanford 48, Washington State 17.

No. 18 Arizona State at No. 9 Oregon (-16), 8:15 p.m. — No LaMichael James? Coaches say it won't matter for the Ducks, and the Sun Devils are good against everybody except the best, riding a 15-game losing streak against top-10 teams. Oregon 42, Arizona State 24.

Last Week: 4-1. Overall: 20-5
