Southern Utah’s women’s golf team plays the fourth event of its fall season this weekend when it travels to Palm Desert, Calif., to compete in Wyoming’s Cowgirl Desert Intercollegiate Saturday and Sunday at The Classic Club, a 6,144-yard par 72 layout.
Senior Kacy Buckner, junior Brittany Edwards, freshman Monica Jung, sophomore Kaohi Loo and either freshmen Shantell Spackman or Alyssa Ballew, will compete for the Thunderbirds.

Teams scheduled to compete at the tournament include SUU, British Columbia, CSU Northridge, Eastern Washington, Fresno State, Idaho State, Montana State, Northern Arizona, Northern Colorado, Portland State, San Diego State, San Francisco, UC Riverside, Weber State and host Wyoming.
This is SUU’s first appearance at the tournament.
