Tribune Power Rankings: Pac-12

1. Stanford (3-0)

The Cardinal have the nation's longest winning streak at 11 games after ravaging Arizona on the road, but lost star linebacker Shayne Skov to a knee injury.

2. Oregon (2-1)

Another overwhelming victory for the Ducks against an overmatched opponent is overshadowed by confirmation that the NCAA has been investigating them. Gulp.

3. USC (3-0)

The Trojans looked pretty solid all the way around for the first time against Syracuse, just in time for their Pac-12 South showdown with Arizona State on Saturday.

4. Utah (2-1)

Biggest win over rival Brigham Young in 89 years suggests the Utes might be a lot more game for the Pac-12 fight than we all imagined.

5. Arizona State (2-1)

They have a name for teams that make silly mistakes, sabotage their own efforts and ruin the brightest of hopes after promising starts. It's "Sun Devils."

6. Cal (3-0)

Jeff Tedford became the Golden Bears' all-time winningest coach with 75 victories, but continuing special-teams mistakes could come back to haunt his team in league play.

7. Washington (2-1)

The Huskies are still rebuilding, so maybe it wasn't such a surprise to see them melt down in the second half while losing at Nebraska.

8. Colorado (1-2)

Running back Rodney Stewart helps Buffs finally find their ground game against rival Colorado State, now heads home to Ohio to face the teetering Buckeyes.

9. Arizona (1-2)

Boy, it looks like it's going to be a long season for the Wildcats, who rank nearly last in the nation by averaging just 55 rushing yards per game.

10. Washington State (2-1)

Sure, they lost on the road, giving up four unanswered touchdowns after leading at San Diego State. But considering recent history, that's progress.

11. UCLA (1-2)

The vultures already are circling the Rose Bowl, in anticipation of another disappointing season that leads to the dismissal of coach Rick Neuheisel.

12. Oregon State (0-2)

The Beavers hope the bye week gave them a chance to reset after a miserable start and a quarterback switch to redshirt freshman Sean Mannion.
