Salt Lake's 16th season as a member of the Pacific Coast League concluded with a whimper Monday as host Las Vegas pounded the Bees 10-2 at Cashman Stadium.

The Bees (62-82) concluded their second-worst season in that era. The only team to finish with a worse record was the 2004 team, then called the Stingers, which went 56-88 and finished last in the Pacific Northern Division.

On the weekend that marked the 20th anniversary of the last professional baseball championship in Salt Lake City — the 1991 Trappers beat the Great Falls Dodgers to clinch the Pioneer League title — the Salt Lake Bees' loss concluded a final stretch of 5-17.

Several players did perform at a higher level, including third baseman Jeff Baisley, who finished among the league leaders in three categories. Baisley drove in his 100th run of 2011 on Monday to rank fourth among PCL hitters.

Baisley also was fourth in hits (163) and 10th in runs (85). Infielder and designated hitter Paul McAnulty finished third with 41 doubles, while Gil Velazquez's .328 batting average was the sixth-best in the PCL.

Jeremy Moore, called up to the Los Angeles Angels on Thursday, led the PCL and tied the Salt Lake franchise record with 18 triples. Meanwhile, Efren Navarro, also called up Thursday, was seventh in hits (157) and fifth in doubles (36).

The Bees led the 16-team PCL in defense, but finished 11th in runs scored and 11th in runs allowed.

Orem 3, Casper 2 • The Owlz's Mike Johnson picked up his first professional win and Wes Hatton had three hits and drove in two runs in a 3-2 home win Monday.

Ogden 8, Idaho Falls 3 • Five Raptors had multiple hits in the team's home victory. Designated hitter Scott Schebler and catcher Christopher O'Brien homered for Ogden; Schebler also drove in four runs as Ogden improved to 39-34 overall.
