SALT LAKE CITY â The Westminster College men's soccer team returns to Dumke Field for two home games over Labor Day Weekend.
The Griffins face La Sierra Friday at 3:30 p.m. before a 2 p.m. contest with McPherson College on Saturday.
Westminster will enter the weekend after splitting two home matches last week. After dropping a 1-0 decision to Baker last Friday, the Griffins bounced back to claim a 1-0 win over Rocky Mountain in the Frontier Conference opener. Dennis Sellis tallied the lone goal for the Griffins over the weekend. Skyler Doran added the team's only assist. Sellis fired a team-best 10 shots while putting four of them on target. Sean Aslett and Wilson Larson each attempted three shots. Nathan Young earned the shutout victory over Rocky and made one save. Damir Sabanovic posted eight stops and a .889 save percentage against Baker.
