Salt Lake Bees first baseman Efren Navarro has been named the Pacific Coast League's player of the week, his first such honor in his career.

The left-hander batted a PCL-best .593 in seven games last week, with three doubles, two triples, three home runs and seven RBI. Navarro is second on the team in batting average this year, as well as hits, doubles, triples and runs scored.

He also leads all first basemen in fielding with a .998 percentage and only three errors on the season.
