Sandy • The Westminster women's soccer team will play an exhibition match against Iowa Western Community College on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Rio Tinto Stadium.

The game will mark the first time the Griffins have played on the home field of the 2009 MLS Champions, Real Salt Lake. Admission is free for everyone with the gates opening at 6 p.m. Parking will be available in the lot on the west side of the stadium for $5.

Westminster heads into the game after receiving one vote in the preseason 2011 NAIA Women's Soccer Coaches' Top 25 Poll. The Griffins opened the 2011 season on Monday by dropping a 2-1 decision to Utah Valley on Dumke Field.

Iowa Western features 16 players from the state of Utah and is coming off an 18-4-2 season in 2010. The Reivers finished with a No. 5 national ranking in the final NJCAA poll.
