Real Salt Lake's Kyle Beckerman and Jamison Olave have been named to the Major League Soccer all-star team, which will take on Manchester United in the MLS All-Star Game on July 27.

Goalkeeper Nick Rimando was overlooked, however.

Coach Hans Backe of the New York Red Bulls will coach the all-stars against United at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, N.J., and finalized a 22-man game-day roster Monday after fans voted for the "First XI."

Backe chose goalkeepers Tally Hall of Houston and Faryd Mondragon of Philadelphia — Seattle's Kasey Keller was among four of the "First XI" who are unavailable for the game due to injury or CONCACAF Champions League conflicts — along with Beckerman and Olave.

Backe also chose forward Omar Cummings of Colorado, midfielders Brad Davis of Houston, Shalrie Joseph of New England and Nick LaBrocca of Chivas USA, along with defenders Corey Ashe and Geoff Cameron of Houston, Bobby Convey of San Jose and Heath Pearce of Chivas USA.

The previously announced "First XI" included forward Landon Donovan, midfielder David Beckham and defenders Omar Gonzalez and Sean Franklin of Los Angeles, forward Thierry Henry and defenders Rafa Marquez and Tim Ream of New York, forward Chris Wondolowski of San Jose, midfielder Jack Jewsbury of Portland and midfielder Brek Shea of FC Dallas.

Shea, Marquez and Gonzalez also are unavailable for the game.

Commissioner Don Garber chose Sporting KC's Omar Bravo and New York's Juan Agudelo for the team, as his discretionary picks during the weekend, while Sporting's Matt Besler was named among the fan selections for having won the most text-message votes. —
