The awards continue to pile up for Southern Utah's Bo Cuthbertson as he became the first Thunderbird in recent history to be named to the Louisville Slugger All-America baseball team, as announced this week by the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper.

Last month, the SUU slugger became the first Thunderbird to be selected as the Summit League Player of the Year. The junior shortstop has also been named a quarterfinalist for the Brooks Wallace Award, which recognizes the nation's top shortstop.

Cuthbertson averaged .432 and had 83 hits including 20 doubles and seven triples. He was among the national leaders in hitting percentages, triples, slugging percentage, and on base percentage. He also recorded 51 runs, 47 RBIs, 27 walks, 15 stolen bases, five home runs, and four sacrifice flies. After his junior season, Cuthbertson is already the SUU career leader in doubles, triples and is near the top of several other statistical categories.
