Southern Utah shortstop Bo Cuthbertson has been selected as a quarterfinalist for the Brooks Wallace Shortstop of the Year Award by the College Baseball Hall of Fame.
The award recognizes the nation's top college shortstop, taking into consideration both offensive and defensive play. The watch list released this week features 25 shortstops.
Cuthbertson, a junior from Arizona, is hitting .448, the second best mark in the nation. He is also ranked nationally in triples, slugging percentage and hits.
The winner of the award will be recognized July 3.
