Cedar City Southern Utah's women's cross country team is ranked second national in the USTFCCCA Division 1 Scholar Team of the Year for the 2010 season.
The Thunderbirds earned an average grade point average of 3.70 and took part in a three-way tie for second with Missouri State and Arkansas State but behind Villanova.
"It is a great honor when you consider the number of teams involved," said head coach Eric Houle. "It's really a credit to the athletes and the way they are able to balance school work with training and competition."
