Radon seminars set for Davis County residents
First Published Feb 25 2014 04:50 pm • Last Updated Feb 26 2014 08:00 pm

The Davis County Health Department and the Davis School District are hosting two seminars to raise awareness about radon, an invisible gas that can accumulate in any home. The Environmental Protection Agency estimates radon causes 22,000 lung cancer deaths a year.

The seminars, which will cover how radon exposure can be prevented, are scheduled for Wednesday in Northridge High School’s auditorium, 2430 N. Hillfield Road in Layton, and March 4 in Bountiful High School’s auditorium, 695 Orchard Drive, Bountiful. Both will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
