Salt Lake County Mayor Ben McAdams has scheduled two meetings next week to talk about the state of townships in unincorporated areas.

The first town hall-style meeting will run from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Utah Olympic Oval, 5662 S. Cougar Lane (4800 West), in Kearns. The second will be Wednesday from 7 to 8 p.m. in the North Building at the County Government Center, 2001 S. State.

McAdams said he will talk about issues impacting the half dozen unincorporated communities in the county, such as annexation and incorporation proposals, and to "hear what [residents] need from their local government."
