Trib Talk: The case against Tim Lawson
A close associate of two former Utah attorneys general is facing six felony counts, including obstruction of justice and a pattern of unlawful activity.
Tim Lawson, known as Mark Shurtleff's "fixer" who reportedly traded more than 680 calls and texts with John Swallow, was arrested last week on charges filed by Salt Lake County District Attorney Sim Gill and Davis County Attorney Troy Rawlings.
On Monday at 12:15 p.m., former federal prosecutor Eric Benson and Salt Lake Tribune reporter Robert Gehrke join Jennifer Napier-Pearce to discuss the ongoing investigation of Shurtleff and Swallow as well as Lawson's criminal charges.
