Civics Central: Utah and Davis counties considering tentative 2014 budgets

Here’s your weekly roundup of what local city councils and other government entities are tackling during regularly scheduled meetings. Government agencies have until 24 hours before a meeting to post their agendas, so check back as this schedule will be updated. All meetings are open to the public, and citizens are welcome to voice their opinions during designated times. If you do wish to speak at a particular meeting, you may need to sign up in advance.

Bountiful Planning Commission • Will hold a public hearing on a proposal to change the zoning designation of an approximately 4.97-acre area at about 430 W. 400 North from Residential Multiple-Family (RM-13) to Residential Multiple-Family Planned Development Overlay (RM-19-PDO); Tuesday, Oct. 29, 7 p.m., 790 S. 100 East, Bountiful. Murray City Council • Will consider proposed resolutions and contracts related to the amendments and renewal of Intermountain Power Agency; Tuesday, Oct. 29, 6:30 p.m., Murray City Center, 5025 S. State St., Murray. View the Murray agenda.

Pleasant Grove • Will hold an open house to answer questions about the general election proposition on funding new facilities to house firefighters, police, dispatch and courts; Tuesday, Oct. 29, 7 p.m., Community Center, 547 S. Locust Ave., Pleasant Grove. View the Pleasant Grove meeting notice.

Provo Municipal Council • Will consider amending the zoning map for approximately 13 acres generally located at 794 E. 3900 North from R1.10 (One-Family Residential) to RA (Residential Agricultural); Tuesday, Oct. 29, 5:30 p.m., Municipal Council Chambers, 351 W. Salt Lake County Council • Will consider ratifying an agreement between West Valley City and the county regarding the building of a bridge for the Jordan River Trail; Tuesday, Oct. 29, 4 p.m., Council Chamber, 2001 S. State St., Salt Lake City. View the Salt Lake County agenda.
