Civics Central: S. Jordan to hear appeal on license denial for home gun business

Here’s your weekly roundup of what local city councils, school boards and other government entities are tackling during regularly scheduled meetings. Government agencies have until 24 hours before a meeting to post their agendas, so check back as this schedule will be updated. All meetings are open to the public, and citizens are welcome to voice their opinions during designated times. If you do wish to speak at a particular meeting, you may need to sign up in advance.

Cottonwood Heights City Council • Will receive a report from Salt Lake County Parks and Recreation Director Michele Nekota on its needs-assessment survey; Tuesday, Oct. 22, 6 p.m., 1265 E. Fort Union Blvd., Suite 250, Cottonwood Heights. View the Cottonwood Heights agenda.

Davis County Commission • Will hear a presentation on the Oct. 26 Clean Out Your Medicine Cabinet event; Tuesday, Oct. 22, 10 a.m., Davis County Administration Building, 61 S. Main St., Farmington. View the Davis County agenda.

Farmington Planning Commission • Will consider a request for a recommendation of approval for the schematic/concept plan for the possible Tanner Planned Unit Development of 64 lots and a 150-unit assisted living facility on 23.5 acres at approximately 1800 North and 1350 West; Thursday, Oct. 24, 7 p.m., 160 S.
