Civics Central: Update on Tooele County, ZAP funding in Salt Lake County

Here’s your weekly roundup of what local city councils, school boards and other government entities are tackling during regularly scheduled meetings. Government agencies have until 24 hours before a meeting to post their agendas, so check back as this schedule will be updated. All meetings are open to the public, and citizens are welcome to voice their opinions during designated times. If you do wish to speak at a particular meeting, you may need to sign up in advance.

Bountiful Planning Commission • Has canceled its Tuesday, Oct. 1, meeting.

Centerville City Council • Will consider fee schedule amendments regarding park reservation fees; Tuesday, Oct. 1, 7 p.m., 250 N. Main St., Centerville. View the Centerville agenda.

Cottonwood Heights City Council • Will meet with University of Utah students to develop a common vision for a transportation study the students will do on Fort Union Boulevard; Tuesday, Oct. 1, 6 p.m., 1265 E. Fort Union BIvd., Suite 250, Cottonwood Heights. View the Cottonwood Heights agenda.

Davis County Commission • Will consider approval of the reappointment of trustees on the Bountiful Irrigation District board; Tuesday, Oct. 1, 10 a.m., Davis County Administration Building, 61 S. Main St., Farmington. View the Davis County agenda.

Commissioners also begin 2014 budget meetings with county departments on Tuesday, Oct. 1, at the administration building. View the schedule of budget meetings.

Farmington City Council • Will hear a proposal on Tanner property annexation; Tuesday, Oct. 1, 7 p.m., 160 S. Main, Farmington. View the Farmington agenda.

Fruit Heights City Council • Will discuss curbside recycling, rates and implementation dates; Tuesday, Oct. 1, 7 p.m., 910 S. Mountain Road, Fruit Heights. View the Fruit Heights agenda.

Holladay City Planning Commission • Will hold public hearings on four proposals to develop small subdivisions off larger city streets; Tuesday, Oct. 1, 7 p.m., 4580 S. 2300 East, Holladay. View the Holladay agenda.

Kaysville City Council • Will hold a public hearing on the annexation of 4.14 acres at approximately 61 E. Mutton Hollow Road; Tuesday, Oct. 1, 6:45 p.m., 23 E. Center St., Kaysville. View the Kaysville agenda.
