Civics Central: Food truck regulations in Holladay; West Jordan's city 'brand'

Here's your weekly roundup of what local city councils, school boards and other government entities are tackling during regularly scheduled meetings. Government agencies have until 24 hours before a meeting to post their agendas, so check back as this schedule will be updated. All meetings are open to the public, and citizens are welcome to voice their opinions during designated times. If you do wish to speak at a particular meeting, you may need to sign up in advance.

Brigham City Council & RDA • Will consider stipends for the city's paid-on-call employees, will also receive public comment regarding the transfer of property at 35 N. 100 East to the Redevelopment Agency, approving property sale to Western States Lodging, and authorizing the mayor to sign documents regarding Western States Lodging and a Rural Economic Development Loan; Thursday, Aug. 1 at 7 p.m., City Council Chambers, 20 N. Murray Planning Commission • Will consider conditional use permits for a private Pilates and fitness studio, a jewelry/pawn shop, the Central Village apartment complex, Mactraders for sale and service of new and used computers and an automated self-service kiosk that buys back consumer electronics for cash; will also consider second phase of Birkhill@Fireclay subdivision; Thursday, Aug. 1, 6:30 p.m., in City Center council chambers, 5025 S.
