The Utah House unanimously approved two Senate bills — SB125 and SB127 — Wednesday in an effort to help out the 8th District Court.
The district covers Duchesne, Uintah, and Daggett counties. SB125 will add another district judge to the area, which has been using the 7th District court to help alleviate their case load over the last 18 months, and SB127 will add a second juvenile judge.

"I’ve told the district that due to the budget to hang on, we’ll get to it. Hang on, we’ll get to it. Now we are getting to it and it absolutely has to happen here," said Rep. Eric Hutchings, R-Kearns, the House chairman of the budget committee over courts.
