Vote-by-mail ballots must be postmarked no later than Monday, the day before the general election, Salt Lake County Clerk Sherrie Swensen said Wednesday.
Noting that a record number of county residents requested mail-in ballots this year, Swensen encouraged people to send in their ballots as early as possible so their choices may be included in Tuesday night's unofficial election results.
Voters unable to mail their ballot by Monday still may drop it off at their polling place on Election Day, she added, but those ballots will not be counted until the official Board of Canvassers review of election results on Nov. 20.
Swensen said 21 early-voting locations around the county will be open until 5 p.m. Friday. Registered voters may vote at any of those locations, which are listed at http://www.vote-early.org.
More information is available from the clerk's election division at 385-468-8683.
