Vice President Biden coming to Utah in July to raise money

Vice President Joe Biden will be in Utah next month to raise money for President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign.

Biden will appear at a private fundraiser at a Park City home on July 10. Ticket prices will range from $500 a person to $5,000 for a photo with the vice president and up to $25,000 to be listed as hosts of the event.

The fundraiser is being organized by Mark Gilbert, a prominent investment manager with Barclays Wealth and a deputy finance director with the Democratic National Committee. Gilbert and his wife, Nancy, hosted first lady Michelle Obama at a fundraiser in their home overlooking the Snyderville Basin last year and also held an event for then-Sen. Barack Obama in 2007.
