Drivers wanting to make left turns off Bangerter Highway at 7800 South will find an unusual configuration there beginning this weekend and lasting until next summer because of construction there.
Bangerter at that intersection will have a temporary "ThrU Turn," sometimes called a Michigan U-Turn, where drivers cannot turn left at the intersection itself.

Instead they must go straight through the 7800 South intersection, make a U-turn at a signal-controlled location, come back to the intersection and then turn right.
An online animation of how the ThrU Turn there will work is available at bit.ly/yjDU2b.
The Utah Department of Transportation says crews plan to shift to the configuration on Saturday, and said it will be in place until upgrades at the intersection are completed next summer.
Also, UDOT says motorists on Bangerter can expect traffic to be restricted to one lane in each direction on Friday and Saturday nights at 7800 South. Two lanes of traffic will be open there during the day on Saturday and Sunday.
Intermittent lane closures for both directions of 7800 South at its intersection with Bangerter are also expected throughout the weekend.
