Number of runs » 9

Difficulty » Mostly beginner and intermediate, but some expert

Why try it » Something for everybody off of this lift

The ride » From the parking lot at Powder Mountain, in the mountains west of Ogden Valley, ski down to the Timberline lift and ride it to the top. From there, take the intermediate run Sidewinder down a ways before veering right and following a beginner cruiser, Gateway, to the base of Hidden Lake Express. This quad will deposit you at the 8,900-foot summit of Hidden Lake Peak, where a comfortable lodge offers libations and striking mountain views.

Runs to try

East 40 » What more could beginner skiers and boarders hope for than a run that follows a ridge, then meanders through a valley that broadens into a long, gradual runout to the lift.

Hidden Lake » Powder Mountain’s terrain park and halfpipe for advanced and expert riders are located off of this run, making it a popular spot for snowboarders and twin-tip skiers.

Main Line » Experts can find their challenge here, following Main Line as it runs under the lift before splitting into Break Away and Whiskey Springs. Both runs have decent pitches.
