This weekend, hike at the Wasatch Wildflower Festival

The Wasatch Wildflower Festival starts Friday, and hikers could be in for quite a show.

The festival, which has events in Little and Big Cottonwood canyons over three days, offers guided walks of varying difficulty. href="http://www.wasatchwildflowerfestival.org/schedules.htm" target="_blank">Click here for the schedule.

After a dry winter and spring, recent rains likely have helped the wildflowers. On Sunday, Tribune reporter Aaron Falk tweeted href="https://twitter.com/aaronfalk/status/227155276766265344/photo/1" target="_blank">this photo on the trail to Red Pine Lake in Little Cottonwood Canyon.
