Always wanted to try ice climbing but were afraid you might get laughed off the wall by experts waiting for you to move? Consider a trip to Midway, where an artificial 45-foot ice wall has been constructed. Midway Adventure Co., 8 E. Main St., has the wall open Monday-Thursday from noon to 8 p.m., from noon to 10 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and from noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday. The wall is lit from within for night climbing. Expert climbers are welcome as well. Rates vary from $12 for one climb with ice axes, harness, crampons and helmet provided to a $50 day pass to $150 for a season pass with your own gear. Call 435-657-2008 or email vacations@midwayadventure.com for more information.
