Alta Ski Resort’s popular "Ski Free After 3" will become a thing of the past on Feb. 15 when the Little Cottonwood Canyon resort does away with the program.
Skiing after 3 p.m. will remain free on the Sunnyside, Albion and Cecret lifts until Feb. 15. Officials say the "overwhelming success of Ski Free After 3 has led us to make an adjustment to this program" and "we hope the change will improve the quality of the skiing experience for Alta skiers."

People without other passes can still head to Alta for some turns after 3 p.m., but it will cost $10 to hit Sunnyside, Albion and Cecret lifts. A $5 ticket reload or a $25 season pass are other new ways to ski after 3 p.m.
