Where • Little Cloud at Snowbird Ski & Summer Resort

Type • Fixed-grip double

Vertical rise • 1,304 feet

Number of runs • 4

Difficulty rating • Mostly advanced

Why try it • Great skiing off Road to Provo traverse

The ride • There are several ways to reach this upper-mountain lift. It's a little slow, taking seven minutes to reach the ridgeline. If you take the Tram from Snowbird Plaza, a run down Regulator Johnson can lead you right to Little Cloud's loading zone. For people parking in the Entry 1 parking lot below the Gad Valley, a ride up the Gadzoom high-speed quad will deliver you to a mid-mountain location. From there, it's a short run down to the Gad 2 lift. Take that up and then ski Bassackwards down to Little Cloud.

Runs to try:

Mark Malu Fork • If you're an intermediate and everything off the Road to Provo looks too steep, this groomed run provides a way to get down — and you can get going quite fast along the way.

Road to Provo • What's great about this traverse is you can hop off and ski/board whatever stretch of the broad bowl beneath American Fork Twin Peaks. Whatever route you take will be good.

Last Choice • Taking Road to Provo past Mark Malu Fork delivers you to another multiple-choice stretch of mountain, with the added excitement of possibly hurtling down one of several short chutes.
