International Pedigree is the largest sled dog race in the lower 48 states. It was founded in 1996 by Frank Teasley in an effort to make the sport more accessible to the public. Sizeable crowds show up in Park City each year to cheer on the final leg of the race.
Mushers this year come from across the United States, Canada, Scotland and even include a Utah entry. Kate St. Onge from Cache Valley has raced in the event several times.
