Birders will flock to Wasatch Mountain State Park Dec. 17 to participate in the 112th annual Audubon Christmas Bird Count. Counts are being held across the state. The annual Heber Valley Count starts at 8 a.m. at the Wasatch Mountain State Park Visitor Center.
Beginner, intermediate and expert birders are encouraged to participate. The cost is $5 per person and free for participants 18 and younger. Contact Wasatch Mountain State Park naturalist Kathy Donnell at 435-654-1791 or email her at kathydonnell@utah.gov for more information.
