It really bewilders me why the media and politicians are referring to what should be the surgeon general's job as a "czar," and the United States as the "homeland." It reminds me of Russia, and it turns my stomach.

The Republicans still think it is their duty to try to run down the president, and I think it is childish. They have sat in Washington too long doing nothing but bad-mouthing Obama when we have had some pretty trying times. The country needs them to work together and get some urgent things done.

It would not have mattered who he appointed as the surgeon general. They would call it a czar and complain about the choice. They need to accept that he is the latest puppet, and get their puppet rear ends in gear and do something for the common people in this country instead of the very wealthy.

There is no trickle down, only upflow to the very elite now. People like the Koch brothers apparently, after record profits, aren't rich enough to quit taking the subsidies our generous Republican politicians keep dishing out while cutting help for the very poor.
