Painful!

That was my take on Mia Love in the 4th District debate. Trying to be charming, she clearly misrepresented facts, used senseless euphemisms, and singular experiences to portray big issues facing our state and country. For one, her statement of less people having health insurance after the ACA is false. Ms. Love fired off "one through four" points, as in the citizenship question response. She never thoughtfully developed any issue and seemed to be coached in her nonsensical responses. The final blow was Ms. Love's closing saying that she wanted to go to Washington "to care for those who cannot care for themselves." I can care for myself and do not need or want Ms. Love representing me.

Doug Owens learned from his congressman father and is proud of his heritage. He advocates the strategies of collaborative bipartisan solutions learned from his father, as in addressing gridlock in Congress and foreign policy. In debate closing, Mr. Owens spoke of hopes and aspirations supporting the founding principles of our nation, desire to put Utah first and serve with great humility. Intelligent, clear thinking about big issues and earnest about the people of Utah, Mr. Owens is the person to represent me!
