Now that same-sex marriage has finally been established as legal in the state of Utah, it would be wise for legislation to be written and passed that protects religious institutions and their representatives from being obligated to perform or participate in marriage ceremonies that violate their beliefs. Canada's Civil Marriage Act is a great example of this sort of legislation.
