Letter: Was this an ad for brain injuries?

Shame on University of Utah Health Plans Health Advantage Plus HMO's two-page ad in Sunday's Tribune, featuring a full half-page color photo of a cycling couple not wearing bicycle helmets. Judging by the background, the photo looks staged, as we don't have streets like that or fields of sunflowers here.

Money could have been better spent on promoting bicycle and pedestrian safety in our region. As a retired faculty member of the University of Utah's School of Medicine, I am embarrassed, unless this is indirectly an ad for more trauma and traumatic brain injury cases.
