Responding to Mark Miller's letter ("Look in the mirror," Oct. 2):

"Restore confidence in Congress" should also apply to our state and local government officials. Cowards don't vote.

Hitting the lever for "All my vote to only my party" is almost just as bad. Be sure to put on your brown uniform shirt and join the goose stepping column outside.

Register to vote by mail and, when your ballot comes in, you will have the time to look at all the candidates' positions, histories and other general information. Vote against all incumbents or, if you really want to truly shake up our parties, vote for a third party candidate.

It seems the major party in power stays there until its arrogance forces the voters to vote for the other major party, who will follow the same power road until we change again.

Whatever your party, vote for the best person.
