Debate: a discussion between people in which they express different opinions about something.
In the case of the Owens-Love non-debate, I find it hard to believe that the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce would agree to allow a candidate to not appear with her opponent.
How can we, the voting public, compare ideas and issues of the people running for office?
We have to have compromise in our government for our country to move forward. We are in gridlock in Washington, and "non debates" are not going to help this situation.
