I have been noticing as of late the ever widening gulf between the words and deeds of our legislative leaders. First we were warned that federal government death panels would choose who lives or dies by granting, or denying, access to the health care system. Now we are being told that unfettered access to this very health care system, as offered by the ACA, is that which threatens our very survival. Our representatives bemoan the growing encroachment of the "nanny-state" into our daily lives, but they hesitate none to legislate/adjudicate about how private adults imbibe and procreate or who we choose to marry (and some combination of all three can be fun).

We are told the free market is the remedy for all economic woes, but they then throw government roadblocks straight in the path of the free market. To paraphrase a GOP icon, "Mr. Valentine, tear down these curtains." This disconnect between actions and words represents the very definition of consistent inconsistency!
