A sixth-grade school teacher at Westbrook Elementary accidently discharged her concealed weapon in a faculty restroom. The bullet exploded a toilet, injuring her leg.

I am sure relieved to learn she has a concealed carry permit and is available to protect herself and the students in the event of a school tragedy.

This accident reminds me of times Andy Griffith gave Barney the OK to load his pistol while bad guys were in the town of Mayberry.

For the safety of the students and facility, maybe the teacher should carry her bullet in a pocket until it is needed, or until she is capable of safely handling a firearm.
