I having been predominately playing Salt Lake City golf courses since 1961. On Sept. 1 we experienced another fee increase. The city courses were already the highest priced in the greater metro area.

Then there is the talk of course closures. In their attempt to make the courses a profit center, they are doing their best to drive people away. Every week there is news about the city spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on bicycle paths. It is very frustrating to golfers who enjoy the city courses. Why can't the city have some kind of balance in recreational spending?
