Airline charges for baggage some years ago were followed by charges for a window seat and other extras. We all now endure 20 minutes of every hour for endless ads on TV. We see 15 minutes of ads now in the theater before seeing a movie. Some motion picture complexes even have us selecting seats before the movie, which is a total waste of time.
Now the latest insult is to encourage you to book your movie tickets on the Internet, only to be charged an extra fee for doing work that actually saves the theater money on employee costs and accounting. To put it succinctly, this is bull. We’re being charged for saving them money and they claim the cost is for electronic interface.
