We attended the Woods Cross-Judge football game at Woods Cross High School. One of the Judge players was seriously injured during a play and could not be moved off the field.

First of all, it took more than 10 minutes for an ambulance to arrive at the school, leaving us to wonder what would happen if it were a life-threatening injury or if a spectator suffered a heart attack.

In addition, to fill up the silence (or whatever the motivation) while we waited, the sound booth began blasting "Footloose" over the loudspeaker, and many of the Woods Cross students began dancing.

How absolutely inappropriate, considering the circumstances! Most of the Judge parents and friends were astounded at the lack of respect for the injured player, although there was an announcement at the end of the game wishing him well.

Should this happen again (and we hope it doesn't), a lot more class is called for.
