Letter: Don’t have to be scientist to listen to one

Is anyone else bothered by the mantra from Republican politicians, when discussing climate change, along the lines of, "Well, I’m not a climate scientist so … blah, blah, blah"?

Yeah, we know you’re not a climate scientist, so do you think that just maybe it might be a good idea to pay some heed to those who are climate scientists?

They are in near unanimous agreement that climate change is a big problem and that human activity is a significant contributor to that problem.

Former Republican Governor of Florida Charlie Crist said recently, "I’m not a scientist either; but I can use my brain and I can talk to one."
