Kudos to Chief of Police Chris Burbank in the "Justice for Geist" saga. As a dog owner of a lovable but aggressively protective dog, I see the fear in other people's demeanor when my dog sees them as a threat to my person. She'd scare me.

So an officer made an immediate and fatal call of judgment. Regrettable.

Now Sean Kendall is apologizing for posting to Facebook in a rash manner due to stress and poor judgment. And he had the luxury of time and forethought before his rash posts on Facebook, an opportunity not given to the officer who shot his dog.

Grow up, Sean Kendall. Life isn't always Disney happy or fair. It's life.
