I don't get the reason why Rocky Mountain Power should charge customers with a solar panel installation for the connection they already have. We are paying for that connection through the use of power and existing fees.

As a homeowner considering the option of having a large solar panel array on my home, I feel it would be an injustice to have to pay an additional fee to the power monopoly for the connection I already have. Rocky Mountain Power should instead be providing incentives to customers to go green and cut their dependence on fossil fuels, especially coal.

What is better than to have solar power run the air conditioning/swamp cooler, cutting peak energy use on these 103-degree days?
