I applaud the arrests of former Attorneys General John Swallow and Mark Shurtleff for alleged corruption. It was long overdue.

Swallowgate has caused great embarrassment for the state of Utah as well as the attorney general's office. While much still needs to be done to restore the public trust, these arrests are a giant leap in the right direction.

Bravo to Salt Lake County District Attorney Sim Gill and Davis County Attorney Troy Rawlings for getting to the bottom of things and showing the rest of the country that in Utah no one is above the law.

The Beehive State is lucky to have them.
